Awareness Region Mission Statement
Experiences from our history and the revision of the past characterise people of our region. Residents of Mauthausen, Gusen and St. Georgen, who live on burdened land, are stigmatised by the global assignment of place names to the past and not by the beautiful habitat.
The three communities have joined forces with their citizens to form the Awareness Region to use experience to further develop a process that the world urgently needs.
We are an international centre of awareness raising, providing both memorials as well as our event centre:
For groups who want to work to this effect.
For workshops and congresses.
For people of all generations who have something to say on these topics. Those who want to be active in working with like-minded people and young people to make a positive difference to the future of our world.
